Trade Apprentice (Fitter): 10th pass + 2-year ITI in Fitter trade
Trade Apprentice (Electrician): 10th pass + 2-year ITI in Electrician trade
Trade Apprentice (Electronics Mechanic): 10th pass + 2-year ITI in Electronics Mechanic
Trade Apprentice (Instrument Mechanic): 10th pass + 2-year ITI in Instrument Mechanic
Trade Apprentice (Machinist): 10th pass + 2-year ITI in Machinist
Technician Apprentice (Mechanical): 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
Technician Apprentice (Electrical): 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation): 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
Technician Apprentice (Civil): 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
Technician Apprentice (Electrical & Electronics): 3-year Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)

Trade Apprentice - Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate): 12th pass + Skill Certificate for Domestic Data Entry Operator
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 years (as on 30.09.2025)
Maximum Age: 24 years (as on 30.09.2025)
Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, 10 years for PwBD candidates
Salary & Stipend
Monthly stipend is paid as per Apprentices Act, 1961/1973
Stipend is divided into two parts: one from BOAT (directly to Aadhaar-linked account) and remaining from IOCL
Stipend range typically between ???8,000 to ???9,000 per month for similar apprenticeships
Selection Process
Merit-Based Selection: Based on percentage in qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/Graduation)
No Written Test or Interview: Selection purely on academic merit
Tie-Breaking Rule: Older candidate gets preference; if DOB same, higher 10th marks considered
Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original documents
Medical Examination: Pre-engagement medical test to check fitness as per IOCL standards
